This year hasn’t gone the way we envisioned… but we’re rolling up our sleeves and doing some good anyway.
Creating change has been our mission from the get-go, but last year, we raised the bar for our 30th birthday. Then, 2020 happened. So we decided to let the good deeds roll and make 30 Days of Change an annual celebration of hope, selflessness and generosity. We’re back this year with 30 more days of making our community and world a better place. Yes, world. Because we wouldn’t be where we are today if we didn’t believe in dreaming big.
What We’re Doing
All month, we’ll be leading initiatives that fall under these three pillars: conservation, public health and community.
VI believes caring for our planet is our vital responsibility. Through Recycling Education Day, Keep Oklahoma State Parks Clean Day, Compost Education Day and more, we’ll take meaningful steps toward making our workplace — and city — more eco-friendly.
VI believes in making our communities healthier places to live, work and play. Through our Virtual Yoga Class, Addiction/Mental Health Education Day, Blood Drive and more, we’ll raise awareness and lead by example.
VI loves OKC, and we want to see it flourish. Through Carne Diem, Teacher Appreciation Day, Diversity Education Day and more, we’ll support the organizations and people that make our city thrive.
Our 18th annual Carne Diem is ON… it just looks a little different. Rest assured, it'll be one for the books. Literally. For a small donation to United Way of Oklahoma, you can score an exclusive chili cookbook featuring recipes from OKC chefs. Test them out at home, vote for your favorite and attend “Chili for Change” nights at participating restaurants.
